@StealthyyyHD Yep. The amount of cost, time waste and stress for lots of folks for something that costs a few bucks to produce is ludicrous imo. In a month or two they will be like masks and bog rolls, they will be everywhere and every shop will have them on display.

Damn. Just bought 2 for 15 bucks each. Only single one in the kit though.

@StealthyyyHD I guess when you look at the other option of waiting in line for hours and hours or missing work, especially if you're a casual, then it may be worth having them but, yeah, it's a complete ripoff.

@scarseven7855 No kidding? Gee all those years I spent in retail and I didn't figure that out? Oh yeah I did.

@gdiwolverinemale2745 There are actually variations due to the fact that there is no such thing as a truly "free" market otherwise nothing of value would be achieved. Rather than "black and white" it is shades of grey on a sliding scale imo. Like most things in life.

Yep good comment. They threaten everyone with fines if they don't do the "right" thing but their own incompetence means that people struggle to get the kits.

You "humans" won't be taking up much space then eh? Once this thing calms down, as it is looking like it's doing currently then all this rubbish will go away as well. Prepare by all means, it's just common sense but it isn't what you are making it out to be imo.

@gdiwolverinemale2745 Do you agree with price gouging then?

@gdiwolverinemale2745 It is the Govt. who created the demand and hysteria for them in the first place though wasn't it? How many were they selling before the Govt. changed the rules? Some should actually look up what "communist" actually means. It will hit the least able to afford it the most, as is usually the case with these things. I guess you don't support our taxpayer funded health system either? Maybe you would prefer a "user pays" model like some others have instead? All good if you can afford it.

@gdiwolverinemale2745 Like I said this is a false supply/demand situation created by the Govt. of the day and also due to their inability to plan ahead. This shouldn't have happened and they had been warned beforehand. So we have one of the best health systems going around, at least from what I have seen, and you think that we would all be better off with a system more like the US? You have no clue. FWIW we can afford private health insurance, always had it, and these tests whatever they cost if we want to but it's not the point I'm making.

@gdiwolverinemale2745 And yet a lot of the issues are created by the flow of capital ever upwards aren't they? Have a look at some of the things going on in the US atm as it seems that they are winning the race to the bottom. What a prize they will receive eh? Have a look at what features some of the happiest and most settled societies on this rock share. It won't be pittance wages places where corporations/big business get to call the shots. We have done very well from this system but why you think it is breaking down is actually false.

@gdiwolverinemale2745 So closed borders in a global economy........good luck with that. I'm not sure how you make the jump that you do re poverty when what is happening is the opposite of what you say. Countries with high incomes, high taxes and solid social benefits structures are doing the best from what I have seen. What is "reasonable protection of economies" and "border controls" if not Govt. control over the economy? Hmmm................ Anyway, like I said, we have done well from the system, and as you said earlier, most of it was due to hard work and smart choices which gets forgotten by many people.
