What drugs are you on dude? Australians should be very thankful we have the options we do or we could have a "system" like the US.................

@muzzleflash1 What long game would that be? Provision of services for its citizens is what govts. are supposed to be about isn't it? How will you afford health care if you're as broke as you imply?
3
@muzzleflash1 You're paying for all of the services you receive whilst living here. I would be interested to see how you calculate your tax payments or what tax bracket you're in tbh. A figure I saw a while back said that unless you're earning over 70k, from memory, you aren't a net taxpayer in this country. I'm sure that you'll have your hand up to use the public system if you ever need it. Sounds like you should move to the US tbh.

Paying what exactly? A little bit on your taxes?

@muzzleflash1 Why then do you continually complain about everything here but then not do anything about it? Seems sort of pointless really. So which tax bracket are you in that you are so harshly treated via taxation? I suspect that it won't be one of the higher ones.

@muzzleflash1 Not really but I do find it a bit strange that you would accuse someone else of that when most of your own posts are so negative. Reality is that in spite of all of the noise Aust. is a lot better place to live than many others and is actually doing better in terms of economics as well, at least so far. Each to their own.

@muzzleflash1 Sob sniff life's not fair.

@muzzleflash1 That's hardly policy though is it? Fact is that veterans of plenty of those sorts of jobs are not treated the way that they should be. Police, Armed forces or Fire Fighters for example when things get tough or go wrong. It's hardly an issue just in this country from what I've seen. No where is perfect nor ever will be.

@muzzleflash1 Why? Policy is written and followed but avoidance and ignorance are normal human traits. Not a lot different to company policies that are touted as being set in concrete and then surreptitiously ignored when the need arises.
