Hope you've been saving your pennies......................Lol

@luciferblack4108 So you produce a small amount of power to provide for your own means then? Scalable for the rest of the country is it? Going to need a lot of old washing machine motors eh? Good luck finding moving water around here for 99% of the year. I was also referring to the fact that the cost of everything else will be going up and up in the near future. The world basically keeps moving because of diesel so good luck replacing that any time soon.

Time to move on maybe? Much more going on in the world these days that could shag your life up.

@luciferblack4108 Maybe have a look at what is going on in Europe atm in terms of power prices, supply etc when they tried to swap over to only renewables. Prices through the roof and supply issues as well. No doubt we will transition to better forms of energy production as time passes but if you think that we can just change everything straight away then you really are very simple indeed. The warm fuzzies being generated by a bunch of middle aged women in affluent suburbs will wear very thin with the masses when things get unaffordable. Any thoughts on Diesel? Lol

No thanks, still not convinced that they're all they're cracked up to be and when the grid goes down you're just as screwed unless you spend a motza on a battery that won't last long with normal use.

@After_Pasta So by saving 50 bucks on your power bill each month you think that you're doing it "cheaper" than us? Seriously? You have no clue. So are you in the burbs with a few solar panels and think that you're "greener" than others? You still haven't made any comment on fuels for ships or heavy transport either. Nothing to say maybe? These questions aren't that hard really............
2
@After_Pasta Nope I'm talking about the real world and not your make believe one. We could put in solar with a battery anytime we choose but I'm not convinced about it yet. We're likely more "green" than you are if we looked at the whole picture. Maybe you live in the burbs in a cookie cutter house and think that because you have solar you're making a difference? Lol
1
@After_Pasta Nah not really. You seem to think that systems that have existed for decades can just all of a sudden change with no issues. I love technology and likely have more of it than you do but can you then explain why Europe, for example, is now having issue with energy supplies or why China had the same thing not so long back? Got any answer for the question I posed about ships using low grade oil fuels or triple road trains being replaced with electric propulsion at all? Yeah thought not. Our power bills have been dropping for quite a while now. Yep solar power is great even if you don't have it. So do you live in the burbs and think that you're making a difference cos you have some solar on the roof? Lol
1
@luciferblack4108 Nah mate you are entirely avoiding the heavy machinery side of things and how that will be replaced by electric anytime soon. Simply isn't economically viable with current technology and getting stuff to market is more important than inner city greenies riding their electric scooters to work. The other factors that may apply are that we are looking like heading into a recession/depression before much longer so people will want the cheapest forms of power that they can get. I get what you're saying but I can't see it happening for the next 10-20 years or unless they come up with some new technology that overcomes current limitations. Hell electric vehicles have twice as many chips in them as ice vehicles from something I read and we are short on chips already................
1
@luciferblack4108 Nah been watching this for a long time now and have also got a fairly good working knowledge of this technology. Get back to me when an electric road train can carry much more than its batteries to its destinations or ships that can replace low grade oil for fuel. I watch quite a few channels that are boat based and even the "greenest' of them tend to go to hybrid diesel propulsion systems simply due to cost and the complexity/limitations of current solar/battery setups. Haven't Tesla just cancelled the cybetruck in countries other than the US and where's their much talked about semi? It ain't there yet, like I said and won't be for a while yet. Keep talking up your little system, and good for you that you're energy independent, but that doesn't mean the whole world can change because of one Govt., that's just daft.
1
@After_Pasta Likely got more dollars than you will ever have. We live in a 100+ yo house that doesn't require heating/cooling to be liveable and we can quite easily get by without power if needed. Can you? Our vehicles are very efficient and only used when necessary. We take a holistic approach to all of this and not just solar, I'm a hero.
1
@After_Pasta Nope merely pointing out that some tool with a few solar cells saving themselves 50 bucks a month on their power bill really has no idea.
1
@After_Pasta Where did I use the term "hero" in relation to myself? Feeling a bit insecure and taking the victim path maybe? Plenty of folks on that path. For the record the hero term was in reference to those who think that having a few solar cells on the roof makes them an environmental hero of some sort. You're welcome. Lol
1
@After_Pasta Oh look now the meme speak has started. Which part of me saying that the technology isn't capable yet with our current systems are you finding so hard to understand? It is funny how you confirmed that the light green burbs dwellers have no real idea about saving the planet though eh? Thanks for that. One of our offspring is a bit like that tbh. Talks about it but consumes so much and has every electrical appliance known to man. How is having a place or lifestyle that doesn't require huge inputs a bad thing exactly especially considering that populations are growing and expecting ever more? You really aren't making any sense whatsoever. So do you live in the burbs with a few solar cells? Any thoughts on how diesel will be replaced. Lol...............priceless.
1
@After_Pasta Nope you just didn't understand what I posted, hardly surprising. It says we take a holistic approach to the way we live not that we put solar on the roof and pretend we are making a difference and crowing about it. Do try to keep up eh?
