@Robnoxious77 So what is your argument going to be if it does get away and we start seeing figures like the US then? How many people are going to want to go to work if it becomes endemic and they know they might catch it? What are the economic costs going to be if the health system does get overwhelmed or there are lots of people who suffer extended health issues because of this thing? Arguably the economy was about to take a dive anyway, this thing just bought forward the inevitable. All the melodrama about what our kids might or might not have to face is just conjecture. Been plenty of crappy events through history that have impacted people of all ages. It just seems that these days we have had such a good run for so long that we have forgotten that these events can happen or forgotten how to deal with adversity in a lot of cases.

@Robnoxious77 Yeah heard it all before, same old, same old. I'm just wondering how all the outcomes you are professing may happen would be any different if it is allowed to spread. The reason you aren't seeing hospitals being overwhelmed is for a few reasons imo. Lockdowns mean that less of the professional hypochondriacs present for obvious reasons and there are less presentations for things such as sports injuries and alcohol related stupidity for example. I have friends and relations in healthcare and it worries them, sort of reality really. I don't wish for anything bad to happen but I am certainly aware of, and prepared for outcomes that may present themselves. My point was that, as a society, we have become spectacularly dependent on things always going the way we think that they should and that may not always be the case.

@Robnoxious77 Funny not seeing a lot of anarchy except for in one place. The bastion of "rights" etc etc. Rest of the world just seems to be trying to adapt and deal with this thing the best way they can. Time will tell but there has been nothing yet that has surprised me.

@Robnoxious77 Lol. Wasn't your prediction that the economic damage done by locking down will lead to anarchy? I'm saying that the economic damage of not locking down could very well be greater if it is allowed to spread and fester. Anyway the important thing is for people to understand what may happen and try and be ready..........which is never going to happen for most given the knee jerk reaction from most people. Stay well
