@EL_Duderino68 : It's a shame the 'Labor Party' collectively can't spell in "Australian English".

@mickyryan9280 : Japan’s Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 6 is the world’s fastest-built nuclear power plant, taking only 39 months for completion. Nuclear power brings down electricity prices by 75% in Finland.

@EL_Duderino68 : 1 LNP.
8
@jiminverness : They both power "Steam Turbines" same time to power up and power down as they are both the same.

CSIRO often ignore science. They ignore this: Japan’s Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 6 took only 39 months for completion. Nuclear power brings down electricity prices by 75% in Finland.

@paulnotdownunder3172 : Japan’s Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 6 took only 39 months for completion. Nuclear power brings down electricity prices by 75% in Finland. Yes, I'd happily have a nuclear power plant on my land.

ROTFL, all these renewables are from investors. Even the off-shore wind in Victoria supposedly funded by the SEC is funded by investors.
3
It's 11 nuclear powered subs not 4. 3 Virginia subs and 8 of the new joint strike subs.
3
@tassied12 : Rubbish. Just total fictional rubbish.
2
@jiminverness : Nope. That's simply not factual.
2
@David_Beames You say that all roads are "socialist". ROTFL.

There are no commercial scale thorium reactors yet in operation and thorium cannot be used directly in current generation uranium-fuelled reactors.
2
@olddog-fv2ox : Nope. None operating only test units that have all failed ... so far. They might get it working one day so the research should continue.
1
@olddog-fv2ox : OK, then name these operational reactors. You can't, they don't exist. There are no commercial scale thorium reactors yet in operation and thorium cannot be used directly in current generation uranium-fuelled reactors.
1
@EL_Duderino68 : It's good someone else thinks Thorium is a promising tech and should be researched enthusiastically.
1
@olddog-fv2ox : Key words: "experimental reactor". it's not OPERATIONAL, it does not actually work yet.
1
@EL_Duderino68 : You claim "ALL roads are Socialist." Is thorium socialist too ?
1
@EL_Duderino68 : Most is government funded so does that make thorium socialist ???
1
@olddog-fv2ox : LF1 has been approved but hasn't even started up yet. So it will be at least 5 years before it can be out of batch mode. The Indian project has at least been started up, they are way ahead of you lot.
1
@olddog-fv2ox : Nope. It was supposedly completed in 2021 but construction is still going on at the site. It still has not started. It was approved in August 2022 but has not started, why ? With construction going on it's pretty obvious why. Also it's not a "Thorium" reactor, it's a Uranium and thorium mixture. A classic example of propaganda. Let's see when it starts up. Meanwhile the Indian "Thorium" reactor leads the race.
1
@olddog-fv2ox : BTW, which bot farm are you in? Is it in China, the Philippines, Laos or Cambodia ?
1
@EL_Duderino68 : So roads are socialist but gov't funded thorium is not. OKaayyy.
1
I have shares in 'Kimberly Rare Earths'. They mine Thorium but not Uranium.
1
@EL_Duderino68 : So that makes "Roads Socialist" ... OKaayyy.
1
@EL_Duderino68 You say that all roads are "socialist". ROTFL.
