  1. Although it's not a true parallel you know some of us will bring up British fighters tipping V1 flying bombs with their wing tips in WW2. Can an Su-27 even fly slow enough to match speeds with a Reaper or did they dump fuel in slow passes?

Tbh, if a Russian spy drone was operating so close to the US & presumably providing intel to an enemy the US was fighting a BIG ground war with, the Air Force would try all sorts of maneuvers to disrupt or down it. Doesn't matter if it wasn't in territorial waters, the US would come up with reasons. Am American who supports Ukraine; damn the Russians. But I always keep a perspective on international actions. Know what your enemy is thinking or you can't evaluate the extent of his actions. I hope more and more sophisticated weapons, and lots of them, will beat Russia out of Ukraine as soon as possible.
