The Navy still had prop ground attack planes and IIRC, Corsairs. Corsair may have been to fast, but the other (can’t remember name) was probably slow enough. BUT that would require the Army and Air Force to ask the Navy for help. Heaven forfend!!!

Found it! The A-1 Skyraider was in service. (I thought it wasn't yet, in my previous comment.) Designed as a ground attack aircraft, it of course had guns - two or four 20mm. Stall speed was 70 knots - the perfect plane to attack the Po-2. And it did: "The Skyraider recorded its only air kill of the war on June 16th, 1953 when a USMC Skyraider claimed a Polikarpov Po-2 "Mule" biplane." Per the Military Factory site. But the Air Force would still have had to request assistance from the Navy - it was a carrier plane.
