  1. The military is really into having modular power packs (engine & transmission) that can be pulled and swapped out. They require speed of repair so the vehicle is back out to the front lines ASAP. This looks like something they'd be interested in.

  2. A city bus! That will be a great application for this. A municipal fleet will be large enough to stock their own modules to be swapped in anytime a repair is needed.

  3. Apparently REE's business model is for manufacturers of various types of trucks to concentrate on making the truck and not have to worry about designing their own drivetrain. That manufacturer can source the battery from elsewhere, this adds a lot of flexibility in the designs.

  4. My first thought was, do commercial operators need their trucks repaired so quickly they need a swap-out module? Then realized the answer is yes, every day a truck isn't on the road is a day it's not earning its monthly loan payment.

  5. The military has been using "power packs" of engine+transmission for decades for armored vehicles. Fastest way to get them back to the front lines and it simplifies the capabilities a forward repair depot needs. They'll love to do this with a variety of other vehicles.
