  1. Not so subtle message from Apple: buy one of our wireless chargers - they cost a lot more than the little brick. With a bigger profit margin for the shareholders. Or, possibly, market research shows that Millennials who buy the latest high end iPhone mostly use wireless charging, so the little brick ends up in a drawer - in which case Apple is making the right decision.
