  3. Nope. The French were a shambles, On the 15th May 1940 the French Premier telephoned Churchill and told him that the battle was lost. Churchill delayed 10 days before ordering an evactuation. Anglo French resistance at Calais as well as resistance by the British and French in the perimeter made Dunkirk possible. 110,000 French trops were evacuated. The Royal Navy returned to Dunkirk the day after the British evacuaton had been completed to take off more French troops. All clrar now?
