  5. These is nothing more inaccurate than this. There is a German - Russian committee which did the statistics, who died, who remained in the country, who returned, where are the graves. USSR returned over 2 million soldiers back. That is more like 75%. Sure, many died. They were wounded, sick, and otherwise unhealthy, especially 90,000 taken in Stalingrad, had frosted limbs. Soviets did investigate each of these POWs and war criminals were executed. Opposite truth however. Out of millions of Soviet POWs almost none returned. They were worked to death in labor camps. Besides, to prove your total ignorance... Who had built East German army? Eh? The very officers from POWs, and soldiers. Soviets pampered the officers and anyone committed to USSR. These people came back and became core of GDR army, loyal to USSR.

These people came back and became core of GDR army loyal to USSR. A lot of soldiers in German Army were supporters of the Communists but had to hide because admitting that was immediate concentration camp. 150,000 soldiers had Jewish roots, also hid this and went along. The stories you hear are all lies. They mostly talk about 90,000 taken in Stalingrad. These POWs had frosted limbs, and were sick. Many did not even got to the camp during super cold winter. bonus. German POWs work in USSR. And when they came back, they came back with the salary they earned. You can still see building built by them.

  11.  @kaisakev4468  And BTW, 3.5 million Germans are Russian Germans and their spouses/children. Since 1972 German birth has declined and population growth was only due to migration. So... Germany might not have Germans [relatively] soon.
