The funny part is that Bommai in Karnataka brought in a lot of FDIs during his tenure. Karnataka had a great economy. All this will be wasted in giving freebies. Of course, Congress has yet to fulfill its freebie promises of Himachal.

@bscs mscs local election results have no bearing to the national level. Bjp loses in states where their local leadership is weak. It's as simple as that.

@New Begining dude get over demo and GST. nothing can revert it. This is a ruse spread by trolls that demo and GST affected the economy. There is no data backing that. Coming to freebies of 2000 per household, where do you think that money is going to come from? It is going to be taken from middle class pocket or from infra development funds. Btw, Congress and AAP have yet to fulfill their freebie promises to Himachal and Punjab, respectively. I know a lot of business owners for whom GST has simplified their lives. I agree that MSME has been affected, but only because these MSMEs never paid taxes, so they now have to pay their fair share. That is why Gst is pinching MSMEs. But they will recover in no time. There are a good number of high-freq indicators pointing to resuming activity that was in 2016-17.
