@ssd7853 dude there are other points modi has done well. You must be a Congress IT worker.

@motei1853 i don't agree with you on automation and people. Automation by definition would mean to use fewer people, so i don't know how automation would benefit from more people. Another issue in India is that there are far too many people in agri, which contributes quite poorly to our gdp. For example, in Punjab more than 75% of people are into agriculture. We could have lifted people out of agriculture or increase its productivity by adopting the 3 farm laws, but what can you do when people dont realize what is good for them. Waiting for your thoughts.

@motei1853 gdp per capita is not a good indicator anymore. Per capita gdp used to work when a country depended on physical labor of people. With automation, the same productivity can be obtained without physical labor. As a result, more people doesn't translate to more gdp. For that matter, Indonesia had more per capita than india even before UPA and remained above India until pandemic. That doesn't mean Indonesia is a country to look up to. With more women coming into workforce (especially Muslim women), we would see our population stabilize and eventually picking up the gdp per capita. Again gdp per capita is just a statistic, which has no real value. As long as the gdp growth rate is higher than our population growth rate, it is OK. Currently, we are on that track.

@Dopeche also during GFC, india's inflation touched 15%. Go google it. However, other countries did not face that kind of inflation. This means that Chidambaram was ineffective as a finance minister to shield India from external disturbances compared to Nirmala Sitharaman during the COVID pandemic.

@ssd7853 we need minority appeasement schemes, so more Muslims remain unskilled and be Madrasa chaap, like what happened during UPA. Please refer to Sacchar committee report.

@ssd7853 by your logic, Pakistan should have become India because Pakistan hates India the most. Pakistan calls India as its eternal enemy. Given the mess Pakistan is right now, i don't think your wise crack makes holds much water. Better luck next time😁😅🤣

Dopeche hmm.i know inflation used to be hyper under UPA. chidambaram has to take credit for that. How about covid when compared to GFC?

Bingo! You spoke my words.

@Mo Tei the NPA doesn't come into picture until IBC was enacted. It is when IBC came into place that banks were to quantify NPAs.

Dopeche the inflation target was set under Modi govt. There was no inflation target range under UPA. Please confirm that before extolling UPA's performance on inflation controlling.
1
@Himanshu Singh Almost all the banks during UPA did not reveal NPAs. The clean-up process started after IBC came into play.

I hope you knew that inflation target range was set by Modi in 2016 and not UPA. UPA doesn't have the guts to set these ranges, as they knew they would never be able to control inflation during their tenure.
