Where the old border between Germany and Denmark is , there is something called Dannewirke (in danish) or in German Dänewerke ,, Däne werke is Däne for the people who build it, and werke is the work of ,, in German werke can be festungswerke , a defence structure build ,, also from Denmark north to Italy runs the army road or pilgrims road, or catlle road ,, (oksevejen) that road passed trough Dänewerke ,, when people came from the south to Dänwerke, they asked ,, what is that ?? and they where told by the people south of Dänewerke,, that is Dänewerke ,,,, but why did they build it,, and they where told ,, its the border of the land of the Danes , (in german Dänen ) it is Dänemark,, the name where give to us Danes , from the people who lived just south of the border,, so you have to loock at it from the outside ,,, mark in Danish mark is also used for a field but a field IS a area that has some clear borders,, , we use it in slagmark, again a field , but a field where a slag (danish for a battle )is foght ,, so a slagmark is a battlefield
