  1. I like that striker design. I suppose there isn't really a need to decock a modern bolt gun, but  I like the idea of being able to. does the hole above the chamber serve as a loaded chamber indicator?

  2. Thanks. That makes sense. It was probably a lot more relevant then too, With inconsistent powders, old QC methods, inferior steels, and no way to inspect for invisible defects.

  3. I'll have to look over the bolt gun I've got. I think it has one too. (Ruger M77 MKII SS 60-06 - mauser type action)

  4. Yes, I've done that. I've never felt any need to keep the bolt rifle loaded though. There are other guns which do the HD role much better. 30-06 is just unfriendly to the neighbors.
