then again it isn't. Putin enjoys overwhelming support by the common people. They may be misguided by state propaganda but they suppor him nonetheless.

@yozul1 I am not talking about polls. I am talking about people showing explicit support - going to rallies, for example -. It's obvious that not many people will talk openly against him, but those who go to the rallies do it out of their own will.

The usual word of caution: let's not underestimate Putin. He is capable of anything. Second, Ukrainians are fighting like - very - angry wolverines. Also, they must have several very smart heads in the strategy sector, because they are using their home ground advantage in very clever ways. It's true that we are helping them, but it's them holding the weapons and putting their lives on the line. Finally, the so-called "comedian-president", so despised by many: he may have been a comedian, but he certainly knows how to communicate. He is making sure that the plight of Ukraine remains on everybody's mind every single day. He is constantly asking for help, reminding the world that Ukraine is fighting for the whole of the civilised world.
