  1. they played it to not play Shadowlands, Cataclysm is a far removed from shadowlands as shadowlands is from vanilla.

  2.  @gamerbodkonian  classic did in fact roll into tbc, they just made era servers that you could transfer over to. while tbc also rolled in to wrath, but theres no tbc era servers and wrath will then roll into cata with no wrath era servers.

  3. thats the thing that always amuses me, the people who happily say they quit after x expansion, coming back to play the stuff they skipped, probably for shallow as hell reasons. I look forward to MoP classic and all the people who quit simply because they saw pandas coming back to play it for the first time.

  4. no you are not, its only the one that killed the game... in your opinion. the game is still kicking, just in a less glamourous state, regardless of how you view any one expansion.

Cata was the inevitible next step while people are overdosing on copium, because the next chapter of Season of Gimmickry will have a single "new" raid which is still reused assets because the crypts have existed and still exist but theres just no portal or mobs, running around calling it Classic+.

  8. usually for shallow reasons, like, its not arthas and people whining about holy power for paladins but ignore the half dozen other classes that got rogue-lite reworks over the years. same sort of reasoning people quit in MoP because "pandas".

  10. because the reality of the game didnt live up to peoples nostalgia, while cata doesnt really have nostalgia because everyone stomped their feet and rage quit like petulant children. those same people will more than likely come back to play the expansion they skipped because of their own shallow viewpoints.
