He also got elected without the MSM, who might otherwise tried to set their leftist agendas. Hence social media companies placed under intense pressure by the Democrat Party to silence his presence on their platforms.

@sooky2253 Yes.

Two terms of Obama did what differently, exactly? Two cheeks on the same arse. The one difference for ordinary Americans: the GOP has stood up FOR tax-paying Americans who run businesses and employ people. The Dems changed with Clinton. The fact is, it is REALLY DIFFICULT to put GOOD PEOPLE into office 🇮🇪🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

You'll have to explain that to us 🇮🇪🇬🇧

@Whiskey0880 My point is NOT about anyone "having an opinion"; but it is about having a right to hear opinions of everyone, and not just the opinions of others we agree with. We are not saps. We have had to live with creatures like Blair and Alistair Campbell. We can recognise speciousness and mendacity when we see it.

davy boy Much to agree with there. But irrespective of left/right arguments, it always divides between those who contribute and those who take. One faction supports the economically contributing; the other supports those who rely on hand-outs in one form or another. Same across all notionally 'free' societies.

davy boy Again, much to agrre with there 🇮🇪🤝🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

@Bjorn2055 Very divergent economies, politics, and social structures prevail. The scale of the problems facing America are magnified for many reasons, not least for uncertainty around the probity of its most recent presidential election (and the questionable ability of the current incumbent), but the fact that it has a reserve currency. Factor in the domestic influence of BigTech and financiers, there's little to compare?

I think it started like that. 'Positive discrimination' happened when it failed to promote everyone equally? Just thinking aloud. It's hard to be sure what the truth of all this is.

Hurts your fragility maybe? We will listen to all sides thankyou.

@joeclarke7048 A contributor to Labour's Ed Miliband losing the 2015 general election: families living next door to each other, one working, the other on benefits and living well on them. When enough people become alienated by unfairness, the landscape changes for those taking the bribes.
