  3. I’d like to point out that there are still some shadows of benevolent snake gods in the Bible. Namely the serpent that Moses uses to destroy the serpents of the pharaoh, and the brass serpent which cured snakebites.

  8. If you want a good example of how primitive humans can absolutely ruin the environment in which they live, just take a look at the desert switch cover the south western United States. These were originally more lush savanna habitats, But unsustainable farming practices on the part of the Native Americans turned them into deserts somewhere between 500 and 1,000 years ago.
