Ok so the labour guy says he's going to build a high school in an area which is predominantly labour voters because he knows that they will then vote for him. that is what pork-barrelling means now if you want to go and use all this fancy language and pretend to be highly intelligent when you're obviously not surely you shouldn't be surprised by criticism .
