Changing motor oil on regular intervals is the best thing you could do for any motor

Ray's working in Florida and if you've been there it is hot and humid and beautiful blonde in the parking lot has nothing to do with it

Ray did everything he did could to look for an external malfunction and help the customer as much as possible I was sad to see the internal damage on the cylinder wall I always hope for external parts that I can swap out I wish him luck

Raise deductive reasoning and diagnostics is excellent and the biggest thing you really cares about helping the customer and doing your job to the best of his ability I really wish there were more people out there like Ray

Years ago my son and I used to race dirt track we raised a 76 Z28 we built the motor in my basement in my garage really I did the bounce and blueprinting in my basement we raced that motor for 4 years every season pour it down the best rings and bearings money we could afford and that answer never blew up why can't manufacturers do that today have a good day bye I forgot to say we send the block out every season at the end and get it bored and never had any problems

@irvnegrin2211 the key is you said ideal conditions they test them under in the real world outside is not always ideal conditions for cars

Nobody said anything about the busted plugs on the coil packs I had that my car come back like that and that shows me sloppy mechanics that don't really care

That's a great idea but I'm afraid looking at the cylinder wall that one will come in reading low

When I worked in a machine shop which was for many years I always use my senses to keep an eye on my milling machines to make sure they ran correctly nowadays you got guys that want to just push buttons and use computers and they lose touch of the field o

My grandson works in a fast food place and bought him a car for five grand soon after within a year the engine seized up the bottom line is manufacturers to meet EPA standards have lowered their tolerances on motors and you've changed the makeup of their piston rings in other words they don't last and I'm aggravated the kid work hard bought a car and then the motor seized up short-term when the cars are a little loose they get better gas mileage numbers but long-term they don't last

And on a slow day you can use the borescope as a proctologist
