  1. Why spend money on Moon missions? OMFG You guys must have been part of killing the Constellation program. When you jerk NASA's funding around, it costs money because they have to restart from scratch later, and they lose expertise. SpaceX is a ROUSING SUCCESS ON THE CHEAP, the whole point of the commercial program. How much money are we saving on spy satellite launches through Falcon 9, which launch reliably every week? Hate on Musk all you want, while Twitter is a disaster ego project, SpaceX is a separate entity, and we've already invested billions !!! in the Artemis program. If we cut funding every 2 years due to petty politics, it costs more money to complete missions already approved! Why fund the military when we have homeless people on the streets? We have to do both. China is going to have boots on the ground on the Moon in 10 years with a permanent moon facility. If we don't have a spot claimed, we aren't going to have a say in the rules of land use, exploration, and resources.
