  1. The industry adapted following the scare. Why do you think you see today many OTC meds come in = "unit dose" packaging. So meds in blister packs and safety seals on bottles etc. were a result of the scare and similar events. Prior to this almost all medications came in simple bottles which were not tamperproof.
