@dsteere2303 It's not just "the jab". It's a jab every 270 days in many places to be considered "fully vaccinated". Keep jabbing, I am sure it will work someday.

@asparrow9876 Unvaxxed Canadians can't board a plane, and unvaxxed foreign nationals cannot drive across the US border. So no.

This channel assumes everyone is jabbed. Test and travel is actually better for un-jabbed people.

And the rules change like a yo-yo, because Holland was one of the most open places just a few months ago. It makes travel planning a nightmare.

@Dis_is_fine Exactly. Recently I sat next to a lovely gentleman from Uganda on a flight from the US to Europe. He showed me pictures of his house in Uganda and lots of snaps of his life, and it all looked very nice - modern house, the cows outside it were different but whatever, some wealthy Ugandans love status-symbol cows (and he had a collection of really fancy looking bovines I tell ya). But when I really pressed him on life in Uganda as a full time permanent resident he admitted he lived most of the time in Virginia USA and Dubai with vacations in Amsterdam. So he has a trifecta (quadfecta), of which Uganda plays a small part. I have his contact details and will 100% visit, but visiting <> living full time.

@asparrow9876 I have heard that private planes are possible. Private boats as well. But you cannot legally enter the US borders without showing a vaccination certificate. Its a shame because once you get inside the US life is quite normal virus-wise, it is one of the most open places on Earth. You would need to fly/sail to somewhere green on that map - Mexico if you want to stay in North America. Inside Mexico there are still virus restrictions, masks and whatnot. But you can enter the country unvaxxed, they don't even ask.

@asparrow9876 You might be able to board an international flight out of Canada using your non-Canadian passport. But really, you should probably speak to a Canadian immigration attorney about your options. They would be able to provide you with current information.

@myrnafromcanada1216 Unvaccinated? How? I sometimes hear about Canadians that make it into the US. I am happy to hear it every time, but skeptical as well because unvaccinated foreign nationals are not allowed into the US. Biden made it a presidential order back in 2021 and his handlers seem to want to keep it in place. If unvaxxed Canadians are getting in it is either extreme good luck at some border control point, or some off the books method (or an official asylum visa which Canadians never receive).

@justintie Of course. But its never the one and only, is it?

No, nobody ever does that, ever. Especially not in Central or South America. Never happens.

By presidential decree, so I don't think it will change until we (hopefully) change presidents in 2024. Unlike the EU the US does not require a booster every 270 days so if you happen to find your old vaccination certificate from 2020 in your sock drawer or somewhere like that, it is sufficient. A Panamanian friend just visited me, he had a really weird looking WHO yellow full sheet vaccination certificate all in Spanish, and it worked fine although it looked nothing like the CDC ones we use in the US.

@dsteere2303 You take a Yellow Fever, TB, and Hepatitis vaccine routinely before travel? That explains a lot!
