This channel seems to not want to factor pandemic restrictions in as part of the overall ranking of a place, which makes me watch the channel less to be honest. Being locked in your house and shaken down for QR codes while enjoying a coffee are a huge lifestyle issues. For instance, Mexico - the borders are open with no questions, but once you are inside there are tons of ridiculous health security theater measures everywhere. I just downranked it for myself based on this - I don't want to be sprayed with weird stuff entering every store, restaurant or hotel. These things DO impact "where you are treated best".

@amcmillion3 I'm still waiting for it to end. Places that have instituted extreme health theater once are more likely to do it again whenever they like. The ease with which I can be locked into my house, annoyed and sprayed and whatnot when permitted outside is a factor in being treated best. Governments rarely voluntarily surrender new superpowers. But I get it, its not a Nomad Capitalist concern. Not my channel, not my call.

@smartjackasswisdom1467 Unless you want to run from the lady spraying you down at the local restaurant it is certainly not optional. You would also have to tell her to F off as she asks you to wear your mask. Mexicans are polite and you can try to "gringo" around the rules, but as of last week they were really into masking and spraying. Including seeing Mexicans in the park, alone, wearing a mask. I was a little disappointed to be honest, I didn't think Mexicans would convert to sheep so easily. Honestly there is less masking in Washington, DC right now and DC people love them, its like a Prius for your face. So if you don't care you don't care, but if wearing a dirty rag over your face is not your jam give Mexico a second thought right now.

I just go there, mine comes along after about 2 weeks or so. You know, after all the food is gone and the dirty laundry is piling up haha. He always ends up loving it when he finally arrives.
