The slaveholding is literally just an American import, it really doesn't graft well onto European experiences at all, also we have a very small black population who are recent and can't claim oppression as much for the reason they are so criminal and dysfunctional (most of it is probably influence from American black culture and the facilitation of the welfare state). In terms of colonisation the big one is Germany despite not really having that history before WW2, it is very much a deliberate policy by American intelligence working with the Frankfurt school to neuter potential rivals and create vassal states and the correct mindset nationally.   2. Not 'we', the British elite pushing it but they are a very small class, they use media to make themselves seem bigger and education systems to propagandise. The vast majority of the nation are not self hating even with propaganda.
