The Japanese military desperately needs to expand, but it should have as much industry as possible within Japan. Total self-sufficiency is not possible due to a very weak resource base, but as much of the supply chain as possible must be local, as if there is a war America will not only have to produce for the world, but will be able to dictate prices. The British empire was bankrupted by business with the Americans, for whom the intention was very much to destroy the British economy and steal all their wealth. America is not a friend even of its own people, it benefits a small influential class, some of rich, but mostly the management class, who run the actual systems. The whole insulting Japanese self-preference is merely pressure to conform, Japan has become a model for western politically opposition, they say 'a slow economic decline due to low birthrates is better than destroying the nation, people and society with immigration ', this worries those who are benefited by low wages or are motivated by animus towards civilisation. The Japanese should not have US military bases, American influence is undoubtedly bad, while they remain Japan is stuck within a westernized political framework at a time of western decline and it's cultural, social and political degradation. Japan should think about another period of isolation, and possibly reinvigorating Confucianism as a way to strengthen social bonds and reform the system of social life which has proved infertile and depressing.

Trump is about as subtle as a purple elephant, if he says something it doesn't make it true, but it does mean he believes it. He mostly responses to flattery and instinct. He is a believer in democracy, and various other boomer sacred cows so politically he is less a real danger and more of a warning shot, the establishment however are terrified of him, and are actively destabilising the system and breaking political illusions in an attempt to banish him, this in a sense does more damage than him as it is killing legitimacy. He meanwhile is probably just going to wave a big stick for four years, keeping everyone's heads down, talk about himself a lot and suppress overly overt plans by his opponents while being incapable of dealing with double dealing from his own people.

Unless it went nuclear it would largely be a naval war, they would try and cut off supplies to China and China would try and bring in food from Russia. Land invasions would probably be not very successful. But the Americans might just start indiscriminate murder of civilians and make it legal after the fact. They are basically Satanist at this point. The big zones would probably being an invasion of Iran (in which they would learn that missiles are a pain for naval fleets, and invading through mountains is not the best strategy), and Russia, were they would win by attrition but learn than mines do the job they are meant to. The bigger issues for them would be overwhelming hatred for the regime by their own populations, and a lack of willingness to die for the cause of evil by the younger/non-tv addicted population. extreme political instability is likely.

Have fun once everyone wises up and drops the dollar, all those dollars will flow back into America and it is in the international interest that you suffer and are balkenised rather than giving you the opportunity to have an imperial revival due to the innate strengths of the country.
