  2.  @lonebeagle  Correlate. The word correlate means the to traits are associated it does not mean that one nor the other is exclusive. It is not that most people don’t give, it is that on average the more religious you are the more you are on average likely to give. I was making the point in response to the seeming insinuation that tax credits are the main motivating factor in charity in the us, the fact that it is correlated with how religious people are suggests that that isn’t the sole motivating factor or even the most important one.
