We should congratulate Russia for being the greatest NATO recruiter. We should dedicate an award for their massive backfire.

No one said counter offensives will be sweeping and easy. Like Russia spent a winter offensive taking one major city, in 8 months of fighting overall. But trying to breach defensively fortified lines is obviously going to be rough if you’re simultaneously trying to limit casualties and damage of equipment

Putin’s special military operation seems to be going well. Troops are heading back to Moscow after their most significant capture of a small city after nearly a year

“It was a mistake” Deliberately cheats
164
He’s also apparently one of the fattest people in North Korea
157
1:32 Russian officials need to bring themselves to justice. Can’t use Donbas or “language bans” as an excuse for civilian deaths in regions on the other side of the region
117
Gotta start by regaining trust

Lots of people commenting “The US does it too, stop being hypocritical” seem to not actually understand how corrupt Russia is regarding judicial independence and fairness. Actual Russians will acknowledge there’s a real difference between the courts in Russia, and the courts in the US. Doesn’t mean the US Justice department doesn’t do shady stuff, but you wouldn’t get punished severely or at all with things in the US as you would in Russia, and depending on the crime accused (because you can be Putin’s political rival and jailed like Navalny), you could be given a harsh and excessive punishment deliberately because of who you are.

I bet he’s the kind of guy who loses terribly, and still tries to spin it as a win.
69
“It’s a massive success!” Explodes
65
I wonder what it’ll take for Russia to become a free and fair democracy.
58
Big victory! Takes small town that merely brings them closer to the city they failed to take
53
How is he not in jail?
51
Depends if it’s meant for trade only. The Chinese government runs “police” operations in foreign countries to intimidate opposition figures, while posing as an immigrant assistance organization. But I’d be fine with a permanent military base near my country, since it’s my country’s military base. 1:40 But lemme ask you a question. Would you be fine with a foreign power ownership over your nations trade ports, with the ability to use it against you if needed? How would that be much different than a permanent military base? 3:13 Huawei has been banned due to fears of espionage
50
Fund NASA. Competition. Small government can’t manage a nation of 330+ million. Grow up
45
“That’s exactly what a spy would say”

Military spending is considered necessary. Also, military budgets solely on a currency unit basis tend to not take into account inflation decreasing the value of the overall budget over time. The US spends roughly $750 billion on the military budget. As inflation increases in the upcoming years, it’ll need to be increased to keep the same level of value being spent, because as time goes on, 750 billion actually can be 740 billion in 5 years, or 600 billion in 10 years, depending on how fast and how large inflation is. Look at the 1923 us defense budget compared to today. Looks tiny, but you must remember, the dollar has inflated many times it’s numerical value within the last century
37
I mean, how would you feel if you’re near retirement and have to wait an extra 2 years before reaping benefits you’ve work towards for decades? Whether it’s necessary or not, I get why people are upset
36
SPR is meant for strategic supplies. It was meant to protect oil supply during an embargo, but that’s not its sole purpose. I don’t get you people. You complain about oil prices, but when someone tries to do something, you complain “You can’t talk about SPR is for _____” when there’s no legal limitation on selling it to lower prices. I mean what do you expect? We should just not do anything about oil prices until after the midterms? I’m not even a Biden fan, but people complaining about the SPR being used to lower oil prices seem to only care about it because they believe it’s only done to improve chances for the midterms, which isn’t any different than any other politician doing their job to make sure they stay in power. But if this is bad, let’s hear the alternatives that can do as good or better, rather than mere complaints about midterms
36
He has to keep Syria together first
36
Bruh, who builds a skyscraper on eroding flat coast prone to annual strong hurricanes?
33
Smoother = more smoking Though i don’t have an issue with people smoking, it does logically make it easier for people to be addicted by making it easier to consume. I’m for the ban tbh. Nothing really good about cigarettes.
31
The “We know who did it” crowd needs to acknowledge that opinion and guessing with 0 evidence doesn’t make that opinion likely. Imagine basing a murder case prosecution on “who most likely did it”, with no evidence pointing to a specific nation or group. “We all know who did it”, yet everyone who’s being held as a possible suspect don’t have any definitive evidence linking them
31
Putin’s Casus Belli is literally an Eric Andre meme
30
The fact that Putin makes threats while literally having military stationed near the borders of a country it already invaded 8 years ago shows that war is likely to escalate. It already started in 2014. Continued to the present day through “proxy wars”
28
What intelligence do you have that contradicts it? Guessing isn’t the same as facts
23
You’re also not adding revenues for selling oysters to other farms and places
22
And if Mr “I’m scared of AI” musk suddenly thinks it’s a good thing, it’s probably not
21
@lukekor you seem to not understand English THEY’RE ALREADY AT WAR. Russia is appearing to be preparing for escalation. What other reason would troops be built up on a border than to prepare for an invasion, or to threaten Ukraine?
21
It’s both. It’s like people saying “don’t listen to celebrities”, while promoting celebrities they agree with
20
Yeah. Regulators need to step up, enforce safety standards, create new standards if the current ones are not enough. Either that, nationalize the railroads, or penalize companies severely for not doing enough to prevent future derailments if there’s evidence of negligence
19
Accidents happen frequently. It’s only the disasters that cause sudden and widespread attention, which gives the impression that it’s starting, when its actually you who’s starting to notice what usually happens
19
It’s not the lip syncing. Some of the voices sound bad, and some annoying, like the older woman contestant
17
Isn’t justified if it’s based on feelings
17
Whoever wins, we lose
17
“Let’s go to Teterboro” “We can’t do it. We’re gonna be in the hudson” 😅
17
@SL-jn8cz that’s the final and desperate last forces. Emus reduce the fighting power of any fighting force they encounter. Aussies better pray the emus don’t turn towards them when unleashed
16
Has it? What actually changed?
16
He likely pays people to do all of that, while he shows up for events
16
1:20 “rapid unscheduled disassembly”= blew tf up
16
Hard to do that when China tries covering up information
15
Used to work there. Food is great. Management sucks, pay is low, and you’re reasonable for literally everything, but paid the cost of a salad an hour, doing something you don’t even enjoy, due to the stress and literally working a practical restaurant. Not saying the whole company is like that, but my store was like that, and it is an appealing job only if you desperately need it, and I mean desperately
12
@glass1258 eh, doesn’t absolve a company selling addictive drugs that’s mainstreamed into being normal. All are to blame, and definitely the company
11
He lied and he frequently lies. He has a base of fans so dedicated, they pretend he doesn’t lie and make excuses for his actions
11
lol surprising NYC subway is ranked so high
11
When companies KNOW underaged kids use it, and don’t care, the company is also to blame. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR COMPANIES AND ACKNOWLEDGE THEY PLAY A PART
10
Welcome to the internet… Also, how much do they censor if you’re able to comment against “severe restrictions?” And groupthink? Grow up. You’re not suffering censorship in comparison to Russians DIRECTLY BY GOVERNMENT. You’re not a persecuted victim, especially if you’re in America.
10
Failure in government and capitalism here.
10
Your argument is literally a whataboutism
10
lol then Russia can’t win against NATO… Imagine suggesting Ukrainians are NATO to cope with the fact that Wagner needs to use prisoners to fill their ranks, not professional soldiers
