Yes. This year is on track for being the hottest year globally on the instrumental record. The last eight years have been the hottest eight years globally on the instrumental record. Nineteen of the hottest twenty years globally on the instrumental record have been since 2000. Every decade for the last seventy years has been warmer than the previous decade.

1880. Careful old fruit, you might blow a gasket.

@positivepawpaw7564 It’s nonsense.
3
@Jim-P 400 year cycle? What 400 year cycle? You’re just making stuff up.
3
Nonsense. Prove that temperatures were hotter four thousand Yeats ago. What’s a Yeat?

Comical.

The planet is warming rapidly due to anthropogenic CO2 emissions, far too rapidly.
2
Nonsense. CO2 levels have gone from 280 ppm to 415 ppm in the Industrial Era due to anthropogenic CO2 emissions. CO2 is a potent Greenhouse Gas. The validity of the Greenhouse Effect Theory is scientifically undisputed. The planet is warming rapidly due to anthropogenic CO2 emissions. The last decade was probably the hottest decade for 125,000 years. Bova - Seasonal origin of the thermal maxima - Nature journal.

@mickoz9389 I’m waiting too. Your claim that the Northern Hemisphere was warmer a thousand years ago needs to be proved. Away you go. All large scale climate reconstructions show different. PAGES 2k Consortium - Consistent multidecadal variability - Nature Geoscience. You prove what you said first and then we’ll get on to your absurd claim about CO2.
2
You sound like you’re a Climate Change denier.
2
@Jim-P The current temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere are extraordinarily high. For once Sky News Australia is factually reporting about Climate.
2
Reliable temperature records for the whole of the UK date from 1880. Monthly Central English Temperature (CET) records go back to 1659.
2
@nomyafiftyonefifty8081 Glaciations and interglacials in ice ages are caused by Milankovitch Cycles. According to Milankovitch Cycles the planet should be slightly cooling.
2
@mickoz9389 Not true. Homogenisation removes anomalies both high and low. Prove otherwise.
2
@mickoz9389 Still waiting.

@Jim-P Solar irradiance dropped slightly in the last Solar Cycle 24 probably due to a Gleissberg Minimum. The planet continues to warm. There is no indication of a Grand Solar Minimum and even if there was it wouldn’t change much, maybe slow warming for a decade or two.

@nomyafiftyonefifty8081 Three La Niña in a row will do that.
1
@mickoz9389 Yes.
1
@mickoz9389 Nonsense. The hottest eight years globally on the instrumental record have been in the last eight years. This year is on track to be the hottest year globally on the instrumental record. You’re a liar and a fool.

@mickoz9389 Hurricanes are getting stronger, fire seasons are getting longer, hotter and dryer, intense rainfall events are increasing and heat waves are increasing due to Climate Change.
