  1. The 1st Amendment only gives the people the right to "peaceably assemble". That does not mean rioting and destroying property, nor committing assault. As a matter of fact, their actions can be seen as insurrection against the government, and for those who planned it, sedition. Domestic terrorism laws do not even need to meet the criteria of either insurrection or sedition to break, as it only requires one to be involved in "acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;" and "appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping."
