  1. I'd argue that we're still in the Cold War, since nothing has much changed since the USSR fell. War is either hot or cold, by proxy or not, and I've always said that we're one step away from it going hot with those in the east. In fact, it's been that way since the socialists began rising up in Germany before WWI. It was once said that the CIA was responsible for keeping a major war busted up in small but manageable portions.
