  1. The press has kept some very bad things hidden for a long time, but of course, they've been controlled by a handful of very bad apples for awhile as well. Those in the know have read many books and articles about politics and history, as well as watched the careers of a few people who revealed what was taking place (Kristol et al). It's nothing that you did, but them. I caught on long ago from my research into JFK, and let's just say that I had a very bad taste in my mouth for the Levant and Brooklyn after that. That's when I found out which group had brought about every flavor of socialism/communism to the US, and it centered around Brooklyn and NYC as a whole, where it spread. Eastern Europeans and Germans after 1890. They were tied to the murder of two sitting presidents, and they started infiltrating the right wing from the left in the thirties. They eventually became the neocons and neoliberals. After JFK, it didn't matter who you voted for, as they were pretty much all in on it until 2016. When Trump started talking about bringing the Old Right and America First back, they did everything to stop it. However, the movement did start with the Paleoconservatives, as they are what is left of the Old Right.

  2. The proverbial hammer is about to come down on the leftists, in both parties, and they'll not enjoy the outcome. The public has had enough of their socialism of every flavor.
