One will never uncover the true origins of the ancient Egyptian civilization via the scholars of the 21st century, nor from much of the 20th, especially after the out of Africa theory became mainstream. No matter what archaeological evidence shows, they have denied it and covered it up. Cairo's main Egyptologist, who is still loafing around the Valley of the Kings, is one of the ring leaders.
All culture, in that area, can be traced back to the mountain people of Anatolia and the Caucasus, as well as the Urals. The ruling class came from the cattle herders, whereas the common people came from farming on the plains. The "mountain" is the key to it all, and so are the burial mounds. The mountain became the pyramid. They literally carved out their homes (caves), in the mountains.
It also seems that the cattle herders, who would live in the mountains during the fall and winter, but migrate into the plains with their herds during spring and summer, got the gold bug. Gold, made into jewelry, is the "skin of the gods."
North of the Caucasus, on the Pontic–Caspian steppe, it seems that the two cultures were literally divided by the Volga and Ural rivers, and the farmers (Arimaspi) liked to slip across to steal the gold from the herders. The herders, here, lived in the Ural mountains to the east, during the fall and winter. (Hint: Tribes were represented, symbolically, by mythical beasts.) Guess who the Griffin/Dragon represented? There was a similar beast for the ruling class in Mesopotamia and Persia, the Anzu and Shirdal.
These were the warriors who first made use of the horse and created the first cavalries. They were known as "God's Whip" to those south of Anatolia in the Levant. They were the founders of civilization along the fertile crescent.
If you ever wondered where those hidden gold mines of Midas and Soloman were, they were not in Africa, though it does have gold. To find the gold, you "go north." Those, from the north, used to raid the Egyptians and take their gold, though it was their own distant relatives that migrated there to form the Egyptian empire.
The Egyptian slaves were a mixture of them and the Africans, which created the "dark-haired" people. The Fertile Crescent became a melting pot. The ruling Egyptian elite used to paint their bodies, which hid their identity.
From carving out caves, to cutting stone. The Cyclopeans, who were never one-eyed. The tale of Polyphemus starts here.

This knowledge came from extensive study of literature written during the early 20th century, the 19th century, and before.
There was a Ugrian (I believe) prayer to God that reveals some of the story on page 88 in the book below.

You'll notice that if you read all of the chapter, that the race was mixed even there (Russia and Ukraine). Also, they were "flat-faced," which they say came from being carnivores. Not only did they raise and eat cattle, they ate horses. Even today, some nomads drink horse milk. Anyhow, this is where civilization, supposedly, has its origins, which spread.
