The truth about the creator God, ( The ALL, or Ein Soph), which is hidden in scripture by metaphor and allegory, is that the creator is the energy that the universe originates from, and is a part of. Some will argue that the universe isn't a part of it, but the very early religions thought it was, and that the gods and goddesses were created in the heavens (heavenly waters) before the planets, etc, from the universe. It's where one became two, a male and female, able to create.
"Ein Sof, or Eyn Sof, (meaning "infinite", literally "without end"), in Kabbalah, is understood as God prior to any self-manifestation in the production of any spiritual realm, probably derived from Solomon ibn Gabirol's (c. 1021 β c. 1070) term, "the Endless One" (she-en lo tiklah). Ein Sof may be translated as "unending", "(there is) no end", or infinity. It was first used by Azriel (c. 1160 β c. 1238), who, sharing the Neoplatonic belief that God can have no desire, thought, word, or action, emphasized by it the negation of any attribute. Of the Ein Sof, nothing ("Ein") can be grasped ("Sof"-limitation). It is the origin of the Ohr Ein Sof, the "Infinite Light" of paradoxical divine self-knowledge, nullified within the Ein Sof prior to creation."
Early kings were seen as demigods, and some were claimed to be the offspring of the gods and goddesses, which is where the divine right of kings originates.
In Genesis, though apologists do their utmost to deny this, the word Elohim is plural, and can be clearly seen in the text. The Elohim were not the "creator" of the all, but born from it.
Genesis 1:26: Then Elohim said, βLet us make humans in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the domestic animals all over the earth, and all the animals that crawl on the earth.β
Note: "Let us," and "in our likeness." That is the polytheistic roots of all religion, which the apologists wish to distance themselves from. However, the Elohim are not the ALL or Ein Soph.
It is known that from Mesopotamian texts, that Abraham was supposedly directed by the god Enlil to make his way to Palestine after Ur was destroyed by plague and war.
