Of course Comey stated that it was okay to lie. The FBI have always lied, especially when questioning a subject, and they mislead others. All law enforcement does it, and legally, they are allowed to do it. However, it's not okay to lie to the FBI. Attorneys mislead people too. However, the FBI's 7th floor took lying to the extreme, by not revealing evidence to a FISA court judge.
Obama was involved in it, especially when he modified EO 12333, about the sharing of intel, and unmasking names, in the last few days of his presidency. Clapper and Lynch signed off on it by January third, right before Trump was sworn in.
Also, let us not forget, that it was Comey who visited Trump at Trump Tower, and set him up. Comey used that to claim that his firing was obstruction, when it was not. Comey was fired over mishandling Hillary's e-mail case. Several at the DOJ wrote a letter to Trump, recommending that he fire him, which he did.
The Bundy case was thrown out of court over the same thing; the government not revealing all the facts and evidence. What will the FISA court do about these individuals, who kept evidence away from them?
