  1. They're corporatists; the neoliberals and neocons. They never quashed slavery in the west, they merely relocated it to the east. Now, they have their crosshairs on Africa.

  2. At one time, Russia was in China's shoes, until they slipped their corporate leash, which brought us the Cold War. China turned so bad, that even the Russians refused to help them any more. Why does socialism/communism look good to the west's corporations, as well as any "third world" nations that they can install it in? Slavery never died in the west, it was just relocated.
