  2.  @Pauly421  Guardian? Independent? Reader - you do not know what you talking about. The EU is a front for a simple protectionist racket for the benefit of only two countries; of France and Germany. Ireland maybe happy with that but Ireland wasn't paying in much, just receiving. Now the 2nd biggest cash- cow to the project has left the club it is understandable those who were making easy money out of it were are now unhappy. But maybe they should wakeup to the fact the gravy train has hit the buffers. Many parts of England especially were getting nothing out of being in the EU so it was just a matter of time that the gravy train payments would be called into question. The tories with Labour and Liberals were happy for the facade to continue, so you calling the present government because its tories is ridiculous. They all thought the could beat the vote of 23 June 2016 but they couldn't as it was democratic. The party who woke up to that fact were going to win election- tory remain liars tried to cheat the 2014 election promise to do the mandate under liar Teresa May. Liars are always found out though, so comes 2019 election the only party that claimed clearly it would follow the mandate of 2016 referendum was again the Conservative party. Surprise surprise they get in by a landslide, Labour are again unelectable and the Liberals are not worth any mention. So stop the BS they majority voted to leave the undemocratic EU and the party that promised and carried through the mandate won. But as already said, the EU are liars and twist the truth to get what they want. They are deliberately causing problems where there does not need to be any. They have little regard for anyone else as shown by how easily they " forgot" about section 16 but still instigated it. They ate now trying to steal AZ vaccinations from a Netherlands factory the UK paid for which is nothing short of piracy. They will stop at nothing to protect their fat salaries and platinum pensions- its nothing to do with saving lives which is clearly shown by the delays they are causing to vaccinations across europe. SO GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE,THE EU ARE THE ENEMY.

  5.  @KinchasaurasRex  You obviously do not realise that English King was a previous RC? I do not have a problem with any one religion - they are all the same. They all about control and subservience to perverts. This has nothing to do with religion its to do with the perverse of the EU making problems where there does not need to be any. The EU is scared as it knows its bubble gravy train is about to burst. The EU is the enemy of europe not just the UK and people need to wakeup to what they are being used for by the unelected in the EU.

What you need to do is growup, and accept a democratic vote took place and you were one of the losers. Constantly talking of conspiracy after calling other people racists, xenophobic etc etc is stupid, as it irritates people because it is insulting and not factual. People did not vote leave because any of that, they voted to get out of the EU not europe. To try and stand up for a discredited political edifice like the EU is foolish, as no one wins with politicians as they only worry about themselves - not you. There is no reason at all that europe could not go back to what it was originally, a trading bloc. But, notice who does not want that to happen, and resists any reform.....you are gullible and stupid, but you need to learn that you do not always get what you want, and just maybe those who do not agree with you just might know more than you.

  8.  @KinchasaurasRex  Yawn. The majority in the UK wide referendum voted to leave the EU. So like all those who voted remain - they lost. The Government of UK was put in power to follow that mandate as they promised. So no there is not going to be any change from that mandate voted for by the majority. So from now on it is about finding compromise. The Goverment have tried to compromise for those in Northern Ireland it is upto them to use that compromise or find another to replace it. I do feel it may have been easier for them if they had voted leave, but they didn't, so another compromise will need to be found but violence will not work.

Yes the facts are that 57 million live in England alone, so they are going to have the big say, but what a lot of people like you do not realise is many of them have Irish, Scottish, Welsh blood as well as English and live together fine. As for your question my honest answer is I don't know but then again I don't care! Because England is one of the most diverse cosmopolitan countries on the planet and we have many people from all over the World. Scotland and Ireland have to do a lot to diversify and join the 21st Century and stop their bigotry.

  11.  @lochlainnw  No you have picked out one situation and tried to make out it differs the fact that the North is freer than the Republic. I am glad to see that the Catholic church in the republic is trying to modernise itself and about time.But it is only very recently. Many women from NI and republic have secretly come to the UK for abortions. Yes the NI, in my opinion is backward in that aspect and do not agree with that outdated religious stance. That said, it is still freer than the republic in most other aspects but you both being in the EU is not free for either.
