  1. @Ed Nash's Military Matters I think that would have just been a frame hours issue as they did not appear dismantled in any way... maybe they were n their last hours and just held for eventualities... it's a pity Ukraine was not better prepared.. I know they are doing better than expected but many minor details like failure to have adequate mustering points or issue of kit for reserves dash militia is something that could have been easily handled... fieldworks seem to have been terribly neglected... not just those pitiful trenches and bunkers in the eastern area... but those aircraft servicable or not should have been in revetments to prevent anything but a direct hit from having any effect .. these works are very simple things for a first world country like Ukraine to manage... and even a few months .. let alone the many years they had.. would have been enough... we managed in between 3 and 9 months to fortify the worst of the uks vulnerabilities in ww2.. and there are many larger and less costly pieces of plant nowadays... anyhow thanks for the reply... hopefully they will pull some sections off those at least..
