The Biplane fighter.... and perhaps bomber... but not the TSR0 CR42 was quite good... but lacked endurance.... or capable pilots.... the handling characteristics of good biplanes should not be ignored and upto early 42 could only be rated as obsolescent not obsolete... as many suboptimum monoplane fighters were still in service at that point..
