Trying to win an argument at the moment. But when discussing certain historical figures (both naval and non-naval). Why is it that when one or few big mistakes pop up they are treated as the worst thing in existence and none of the achievements are acknowledged or downplayed? For example with Admirals King and Halsey, a lot of people consider them to be ranked as one of the worst admirals in History. For King it is based on his Anglophobia and a consequence being the U-Boat second happy time. For Halsey it's his decision to chase after Ozawa at the Battle of Leyte Gulf and sailing the Third Fleet into 2 typhoons.

Or a Britain where Oswald Mosley became Prime Minister.

Essentially Hitler would need to have a Palpatine level plan to pull off Plan Z successfully.
