  1. Did anyone else watch this video while holding an M1 Garand? ;) Obviously it's not related to the gun in this video, but it's the only firearm that I own that was used in WW2.

  2. Is it possible that the "hammer" on the M1 acted as an accelerator after the round fired, thereby kicking the bolt backward with more force vs the M1A1? That's the only explanation that I can think of for the rate of fire difference between the two guns.
