@GurgleOneSixSix Yup. Great discomfort for 2 reasons: his hand is near a hot burning jet of propellant gas, and he can't cover both of his ears like the guys around him can. I wonder if they used to draw straws to see who would have to fire that thing ;)

@MegaGouch They didn't :( All they could do was cover their ears with their hands. Of course, the guy firing it couldn't do that, because he needed one hand to pull the trigger. That must have been a job that no one wanted!
