  1. +dapappacn 44 Special looks exactly like 44 Magnum, just slightly shorter. In fact, 44 Magnum IS 44 Special, but with more power. And being that it has more power, the case was made slightly longer to make sure that it could not be fired in guns that were not designed to deal with the higher pressure. A quick trip to Google Images will show you a picture of ANY cartridge that you might want to see.

  2. There are plenty of historic guns with ivory grips, etc. No one is going to make people remove it. And my understanding is that it is STILL possible to acquire ivory, so long as it is taken from documented animals that were legally hunted.
