  1. I think even the local Chinese people can’t own the land because once they died the land goes back to the government to be redistributed back to the community and not to their children. So, you are allowed to own the land for as long as you live. This law applies to all people, Chinese and non-Chinese alike. That is what I have been told. So, in essence, the Chinese government doesn’t make laws to discriminate against people on the basis of their race or nationality unlike the US who does.
