I have heard that Australia is very racist too and thought it might be exaggerated but funnily enough I watched a documentary on the BBC about the backlash against a famous Australian of Aboriginal origin sportsman (sorry I don't remember his name as I don't watch any sports) because he took the knee or made a gesture on the pitch in solidarity with BLM. He faced intense hatred from the general public for this and continous hatred on the pitch which forced him to retire. You probably know more than me as an Aussie as I might have got some of the details wrong.
