  1. In Dubai I grew up in an apartment that had a normal bathroom w/ toilet and also a separate tiolet room with bidet (like the stand-alone traditional bidet, not the handheld or japanese type).

  4. there are a lot of laws on what you can build based on the lot size and the zoning. So the weird shapes are all because they maximized the legal space they can have for that lot. But yes I agree the "designer" houses looks like they belong in art museums.
