  2. I love the idea in a vacuum on principle. The problems with it all stem from outside nations that don't do it. It also creates an economic incentive for wealthy taxpayers to turn traitor and aid the outside nation that attacks the basic income nation. Maybe one day, the entire world will become wealthy enough per capita that nations can start doing basic income without another coming to attack them.
