Everything in the produce department of grocery stores were originally wild growing plants! They were usually modified by selective breeding to what we buy today. One example is bananas, which used to have very little flesh and large seeds. It always seems strange when I see dandelions for sale, when they grow wild in our yards. The video didn't mention that if you want to try this without an expert or two as a guide, you should research and be very sure that the wild edible you are about to eat is actually edible. Books by Euell Gibbons are a good source of info for the beginner.
