@ 7:00 I like Thom, but he's wrong when he says Social Security has never missed a check. Just Google the term "missing social security checks" and there are almost 16,000 articles about the topic.

The real debate should be that we have WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE IN PRISON. We have MORE PEOPLE IN PRISON PER CAPITA THAN ANY OTHER DEVELOPED NATION. If the states are hurting for money, which they are, then let's decriminalize marijuana use and other drugs, prostitution, stupid laws, restrictive licensing, etc. Take the millions of non-violent people out of prison and it's less tax dollars for prisons and less money for the corporate prison industrial complex.
